Swinging monkey

I did an experiment today, and it turns out Eli can swing on the monkey bars.

His current mission in life is to find something to climb – chairs, couches, sand pits, beds, out of the bath. What he is doing now is pushing a plastic chair up to his high chair at the table, climbing on the the plastic chair, doing a celebratory dance and squeal of delight that he can reach the table, and then trying to climb up his high chair….which doesn’t generally go too well….yet.

    Oh my gosh, that’s incredible!

I was pretty happy with Jodi being way less adventurous when she was younger… she preferred staying on the ground… less stressful for me too! =)

I was surprised! I lifted him up so that he could grab on, and it turned out that he was able to hang without any support. I’m like, “Grace, quick, go and get mom and tell her to bring the camera!”

I’m quite enjoying he boisterous clambering, and it is also quite nice that he bounces back from falls, bumps and scrapes pretty quickly (super fast compared to Grace).
