The busy day

My, my, what a busy day! We started early and set off for Somerset West to visit Charis and meet her lovely family. We managed to convince Grace it was a good idea by enticing her with the prospects of playing with the dogs (she was saying, "No go, home" before we got in the car). We had a lovely time and Grace settled quickly and really enjoyed the dogs.

On the way home Grace fell asleep in the car and I was feeling really tired, so once we were home I settled down in the car and had a lovely nap along with Grace.

After the nap we had a few minutes inside before we set off for Rondebosch and Jack's birthday party. This time we convinced Grace with the prospects of a trampoline and seeing Karen & Caleb. Once again, all three of us had a lot of fun.

I often ask Grace what her favourite part of the day was. Tonight I ran through some parts of the day and asked her what she like the most and she said eating the pigs off of Jack's birthday cake (the Woolworths Percy Pigs). Not quite what I had expected when I asked her.

I am really proud of her for how well she did today. She met new people, was on the go the whole day, went to a busy party and just did really well. Hopefully this signals the end of the touchy phase that we've been going through.

Lots of fun pushing Jack's dog around in the wheelbarrow

Jumping with Thea. The two of them played very nicely rolling, throwing and passing a ping pong ball to each other.
