Morning mommy!

Eli only greets for one time of the day – morning! When DonnĂ© collects him from school in the afternoon, “Morning mommy!” when he arrives back in the afternoon after a playday, “Morning dad!” or when he has just stepped out of the room and come back, “Morning mommy!”

Today at lunch he holds out his hands to Grace and I so that we can make a circle, like the circle they make at the end of day in their class. He then sings the goodbye song, jumps down from his chair, runs into the scullery, hugs the washing machine and says, “Morning mommy!”

Eli’s substitute mommy for his game. It looks like he is trying to pull the door off, but he is actually hugging his “mommy”
