Today when we went swimming Grace was managing to keep her head above water. It is the first time I have seen her be able to kick and keep her head above water. Above water is just her head turned up with her face just above the line of the water – out of the water enough to breathe, and that is the important bit. She was jumping off the ladder and managing to make her way back towards the stair on her own. She wasn't getting all the way to the stair, but was making progress, enough to get close enough to me to allow me to grab her.
