Finishing well

It has been an intense year for me. I have approached my work differently, pushed myself harder and taken more risks. In some ways it feels like my business has taken great leaps and bounds forwards, and it others it just looks like I am taking baby steps.
The great leaps have been in my mental space and attitude. The biggest change has been to switch to an attitude of, "I will make it happen," instead of my old, "I unfortunately don't have time to help you." Yes, this has probably overloaded me, but it has forced me to think differently and to search for alternative ways of doing things.
The baby steps have been contracting some work out and running projects with some other people. These are more than just baby steps, as there is a lot of trust that needs to be built, but they are not (currently) changing the basic direction of the business. They are some of the first steps on a long journey.
All of this has meant less sleep, as well as the need to track a number of different projects at a time.
After an intense year I am really looking forward to a break. Time to stop, to just be, and to switch off. We had a really good restorative break in the middle of the year, and I am looking forward to feeling more energised after the break.
With only two weeks to go I need to finish well. That means pushing aside some tiredness and embracing where I am and what needs to get done. I am looking forward to finishing the year well.
