When the book bug bites Donné, it bites hard….especially if it is a trilogy or series that she is reading. Last week Friday we watched the first Hunger Games movie, which pulled a trigger for her to read the book, and the next, and the next. And now she is back from her trip to Panem and fully engaged with the rest of us again.
I on the other hand, have just finished book 2.
The children seem to be coping okay. They have learned to make their own fire and roast small insects from the garden for sustenance. Good life skills.
Hahahah! Funny!! JP and I read them together (literally), him on the kindle and me on the ipad. One Tuesday nanny day, it was a public holiday and JP and I lay in bed all day reading without even thinking about Jodi and the nanny! LOved the books, much better than the movie… although am looking forward to watching the 2nd movie and, come to think of it, reading all the books again once Jodi starts school at the end of the month! Glad Donne enjoyed them and you’re enjoying them too =)
I just finished Mockingjay! Feeling a bit sad that it is all over and done, but really enjoyed the books (I didn’t read the first one though).
