Today was vaccination day for Adam – it’s tough but someone has to do it. Shame, poor little guy, he was taking some strain as all those diseases started to kick in
Having some pool fun with Aunty Keren
Eli’s swimming has been making leaps and bounds forward, and he is now able to swim independently
Happy (early) birthday Jayde!
Pizza making at The Carnival at Weltevreden
Yum…what a delicious rainbow marshamallow
“Watch me go down the big slide dad!” It doesn’t feel like that long ago that she wouldn’t even put a foot into a slide like this
We continued our annual tradition of friends and gingerbread house building today and had a great time together.
I love this bunch of brilliant kids, and how they get along so well
Time to get some houses built
This is how it is done kiddos
Aunty Mel comes all the way from England for this (and for things like her brother’s wedding, but I’m sure it is really just to hang out with us all). So lovely to have her around again
Get your hands in there

Supper and happy children
Grace has suddenly taken the role of big sister very seriously – she has realised that she can pick Adam up, hold him and comfort him with his dummy, so she has taken it upon herself to be the great big sister and to care for her brother.
“I’ll get him!”
Adam is six weeks old today, and smiled for the first time this week.
He has also been working on his squinting and perfecting his camera poses
Eli had what his teacher called, “his first bad day” at school. It sounds like he was tired and cranky with everyone, waving brooms around threateningly, and needing lots of space. DonnĂ© says to Grace, “I hear Eli had a bad day today.” Grace says, “Eli didn’t have a bad day, everyone else had a bad day, because he was swinging his arms, and being crazy…” Well, that is definitely one way to look at it.
Grace: “Please take a picture of me and Adam, he’s so cute”
Grace has been waiting (and asking) for the advent calendar to start. The daily joy of discovering the picture on that little chocolate is a wonderful thing.
Last Thursday was the pre-primary concert and graduation, and all the children had loads of fun.
I did love our dear little bear in all his cuteness
He insisted on that particular, and too big, costume…let’s call it “with extra length”

Grace: “When I grow up I want to be a shop owner, because everyone needs to buy food. If I can’t be a shop owner, I want to be a mommy, because mommies rock!”
Congratulations my girl!
…is (quite literally) my children. If you start adding them up, we have Grace at 22kg, Eli at 16kg and Adam at 5kg – 43kg.
