Eli wants to go to space. He has said many times, “I want to be a spaceman and go to space. Fly on rocket – shoosh!” Anything spacey, and he gets quite excited about it, like the Lego from my childhood that is at my folks house in Jeffrey’s Bay. He absolutely loves that Lego and can play with it for hours.
Playing with Lego spacemen does create some additional dangers when going to space though.
Eli says, “I want to be a spaceman. Dad, how take head off to put oxygen tank on?”
There I was, just sitting in my deck chair thinking, “Mom, I’d really like to go for a swim.”
So in I went, but there were sharks…
Luckily, I made it
The End (especially added for Lisa)
First day back at work, swimming, Grace teaching Eli how to dive into the pool and fetch things at the bottom, friends and play dates, catching up, cooling off and playing in the pool, and ice cream…always ice cream.
Adam had his first dip in the pool today – a bit of a shock to the system, but he settled into it and had some kicking fun.
Everyone was tired out and cranky after the trip yesterday. Fortunately two of them accepted a nap relatively easily. Eli on the other hand went down kicking and screaming (and sobbing), but he finally managed to get it right (against his will). Everyone seemed a bit better for it.
…and safely back home
After a great, relaxing holiday, we’re back home and done with our Christmas travels for this year.
Safe travels for all of you travelling this week!
PS. Adam slept from 19h00 until 04h00 for our last night in Jeffrey’s Bay! May that kind of sleep trend continue.
Sleep time on daddy’s shoulder
Holding on tight while going to sleep
Happy New Year to you all, and always remember, when in doubt, suit up!
Adam is 10 weeks old today
Eli had me laughing with his quick reply today. He was showering and says, “I’m Santa!” and did a step/jump to the side and slipped a bit (without falling), so I say, “Are you okay? Watch out, the shower is slippery.”
He quickly replied (continuing with the theme of his game), “It’s ice. Ho ho ho, merry Christmas!”
Colouring partners…..”Gogo, can I colour in your book?”
Slip ‘n slide fun
Donné and Eli were having a pillow fight, and Eli thought Adam should join in…
