We joined Lea to celebrate her birthday with an art party. Adam mostly thought he would crawl around looking for little bits of dropped popcorn to consume.
Getting the art going
The art cake
The pre-cake, happy birthday build up
Adam hasn’t ever really been into purée’s, but he does enjoy trying out and eating whatever we happen to have on our plates. And his favourite? It looks like it is chicken wings.
When you’re feeling down, there is always a sibling to come along and cheer you up.
Eli is quite willing to have his hair pulled and head bashed by Adam – it is going to be fun and games when Adam gets going. I think those two are going to be big mates.
We were feeding our fish today, when I spotted something small and golden flitting underneath the lilies…a new koi! It looks like one of the thousands of eggs from the spawning somehow made it, then somehow managed to survive low water levels through summer, and find some food, and grow. We now have a 6cm addition to our pond. Surprising and exciting.
Is it a wink, is it a squint? Who knows, but that is our street
This is the children on a night when their story time privilege has been taken away….
Two little bookworms reading away.
Grace was busy finishing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which we’ve read together before, but she has now been reading it on her own, and finished it today.
Eli was looking at an Afrikaans book about things in the castle.
I love that they both love books.
It has been good to see this little guy smiling, happy, and much more himself. The grommets seem to be doing their job, and he has recovered from all ailments.
He is also busy working very hard to get around, and getting around relatively quickly with his drag shuffle. He someone got himself into this position a day or two ago…
Bumps and bruises and cuddles and fun, some of the things that brothers are for…
