Two sleepy boys

I try to lead by example

Mud pie

These two got very muddy  today. When I came in from work Grace was in her panties busy scrubbing her clothes in the scullery, and Eli was waiting to wash his very muddy hands.

Zoey’s computer

Eli was loving playing on the computer that Zoey made for him – it even came with a mouse

Going out to the aquarium

Grace, Tayla and Nyasha organised a “going out” to the aquarium to learn more about the oceans, and Grace seemed to have a brilliant time. Apparently she was the tour guide and everyone discovered new things with her leading the way.

We bought her an annual pass, so she had to go to the office and collect it, which involved having a photo taken. Grace shows me her card and asks what “This card is not transferable” means. So I explain that it means that only she can use it. She looks at it and says, “Well, Graeme [Tayla’s dad] is there in the background of my photo, so that means he can use it too! Hehehe.” Funny girl.

Little conversations

Adam is starting to have “conversations.” It is just a bit of back and forth “aaahh”-ing, but he is loving the interaction and response that he is getting (and Grace is also thinking that these chats are quite fun).

The cot

We sold our cot today. It was quite a poignant feeling to see it going, not because of the actual cot, but because it gave a sense of finality to this chapter of our lives – they baby phase is over.

These two, on the other hand, continue to be beautiful nutters.

Hair cuts and arithmetic

Grace had her hair cut today with the style, in her words, “Like mommies’

In the top left photo she is busy figuring out a subtraction sum to determine how much money to take on her next going out.

The freedom of the bath

Now that Adam has the freedom of the bath, it is time to explore (and be cute doing it)

Swing buddy

It is always good to have a willing swing buddy

Look mom, no ring!

First time bathing without the bath ring – so far no falls (although I’m sure having Grace and Eli in the bath at the same time will change that)
