Adam took his climbing and sleeping to a new level – he can now climb up the slide and last night he slept through all the way until 05h00! Sleep is always erratic, but let’s hope that this holds at least for a while so that Donné can start to feel more like a normal person again.
These three really are good bath buddies – Addy in the middle observing, with the other two being examples of the level of crazy required to be a part of our family.
This year the school held a talent show for the end of year concert – a variety show with the children choosing what they would like to do – and as always, it was loads of fun, and there were smiles and happy children all around.
Grace recited a poem by Roald Dahl, and sung and danced in her group acts, and Eli danced in his class act. Herewith, the short, personal, version of the show…
Adam is always up for learning something new, so first he figured out how to ride on the little ambulance, then decided straight afterwards that the pink scooter looked like a good challenge too. When he started with the ambulance, he jammed his feet into the ground every time someone tried to push him a little, but then he loosened up…
It just takes a short moment of distraction to create a happy baby in a puddle of flour
When you’re all left inside while dad empties out the compost bin, and everyone wants to be outside, then it is time for a bit of group comforting.
Grace recently had the 3rd Great Lesson in class, which is the coming of man, and in that lesson they discussed and built simple huts. She decided that there wasn’t quite enough time during their lesson to build a fancy enough, so she started gathering sticks….
Today she and Eli got stuck into building the hut, and with some required garden maintenance I was able to provide them with extra materials.
Sticks, branches and palm fronds – and there are two children “sleeping” in there
You can just see Eli’s head peaking out if you look carefully
We joined Isabella for some super bubble fun and birthday celebrations today.
They had such awesome bubble making devices, from giant child size bubbles with a hoola hoop to dish cloth and plastic bottle bubble foamers.
Oh my, what a giant bubble!
The lovely ladies
Grace has been doing dancing for the last two terms as one of her extra murals, with all of the practising building up to the dance show they had this evening.

There are a few things that Adam likes to call for – two of them are Grace and Coco. In the mornings he comes out of this room and looks down the passage to the playroom and calls out this questioning, “Ace?” If he sees a cat, then it is just “Coco, coco,” or, if he is just looking for her, like in this video:
