On Thursday we woke up to an eight year old…a very excited eight year old. One who now had a ballet barre installed in the playroom. 

This is the first time Grace has had her birthday on a school day, so she got to enjoy the first part of it with her classmates, and then we collected her and went to Vergelegen for some time at her favourite place. After that it was home for her favourite meal. She seemed to have a very happy and peaceful day. 

Practicing at her new ballet barre. We made a ballet barre in the playroom for Grace which she was super excited about – I’m sure it will get some good use over the years. 

Enjoying a slice of milk tart and a milkshake at Vergelegen. She was very chuffed when the milk tart came with “Happy birthday” written on the plate with chocolate sauce. 

My sushi loving girls – it’s always a big spoil, but is definitely Grace’s favourite meal.
