Eli had what his teacher called, “his first bad day” at school. It sounds like he was tired and cranky with everyone, waving brooms around threateningly, and needing lots of space. Donné says to Grace, “I hear Eli had a bad day today.” Grace says, “Eli didn’t have a bad day, everyone else had a bad day, because he was swinging his arms, and being crazy…” Well, that is definitely one way to look at it.

Grace has been waiting (and asking) for the advent calendar to start. The daily joy of discovering the picture on that little chocolate is a wonderful thing.
