Eli, Grace and Donné have discovered One Direction and they are loving it. Eli loves bopping to music, so he smiles and kicks away, and Grace joins in whatever is happening. Her favourite song is “Live while we’re young”

Grace finally got her birthday present from us….a new bike! And she is mighty excited about her pedal bike. Fortunately the weather is good for riding up and down the road.
One of Grace’s favourite activities from our holiday was playing Go Fish. Some friends (Ryan & Natasha) gave it to her for her birthday, and once she knew how to play we played at least once a day, and the more players the merrier. The goal is to collect as many pairs of matching animals as possible before all the cards have been played.
She still doesn’t quite get that she needs to keep her cards a secret. We were playing a game with Granny and Grandpa when Grace realised that one of them had the other half of the matching pair and it was their turn, so she whispers, “Ask me if I have a vulture.” Sweet girl.
Fun in the hole
Beach sand also tastes good
Our little girl
Someone came past to drop something off, and they had a little girl with them. It wasn’t long before it was make-up time.
The boys
Sand…who knows why it is quite so appealing
Grace walked up the one side of the see-saw and then balanced in the middle – we were impressed!
Eli just generally being cute
Grace and Granny did some make-up….
Being Cinderella means getting ready for the ball, and that is the game Grace wanted to play with Donné. In this case, just the make-up needed to be ready….
Let’s start with those nails
Don’t be afraid of the lip gloss mommy…be VERY afraid
Eye shadow time
Getting there…
Just some finishing touches
And all done
What to do on a rainy, cold day?
Build with blocks
Stomp in puddles
Visit the grandparents at their workplace and warm up in front of the fire
Neglect to take more photos…fail.
Play go fish, build a puzzle (only to find their is a missing piece of a new puzzle!), build with a foam construction set, eat, watch Noddy, hide and go seek with Gogo, sleep.
Grace waited excitedly – but not so patiently – for her date with Gogo this afternoon, and came home hopping and happy. “First we went on the merry-go-round, but it was broken. Then I went on the aeroplane, but it was broken. Then I went on the car, and it wasn’t broken!” She was talking about the R5, play music, move around a bit, found in the mall kind of rides. “And we rode on the ponies, and I got a fairy puzzle! And we went for a cup of coffee and I got a BIG babychino!” Lots of fun with her Gogo who she loves dearly.
Squish!
Anyone else want to be on the couch?
